Restoring concrete with densifiers before apply the epoxy base involves applying densifier liquid chemicals (like silicates) to harden, strengthen, and dustproof surfaces by filling pores, making them resistant to abrasion, moisture, and chemicals, ideal for old or new floors in homes, warehouses, or patios, often after grinding the concrete slab.
What Concrete Densifiers Do

Concrete densifiers are chemical treatments, typically silicate-based (lithium, sodium, potassium, colloidal silica), that penetrate the surface to react with calcium hydroxide, creating a hard, durable calcium silicate hydrate (CSH) gel that fills pores, significantly increasing surface hardness, abrasion resistance, and longevity, reducing dusting, and improving overall performance for both new and existing concrete.
